It's a little known but understandable fact that as an expert firebender, Zhao is capable of maintaining a constant, personal climate of approximately 73 degrees regardless of outside environment. As long as he's breathing, he's bending. This makes winter military campaigns perfectly acceptable; the only difference is a marked increase in troop grousing.
Choose Your Own Uniform Day usually goes great lengths in improving general morale, however. (:

Not shown: the hapless Water/ Earth village Zhao just toasted to the ground.

Also, if you don't hear from me for a while, it's because undead George Washington and the Sons of the American Revolution have come after me for my historical blasphemy.
