I'm sorry but Cat and Littlefinger never boned. Littlefinger was in love with Cat, he fought a duel with Ned's brother over her, but they never got romantic together. Littlefinger and Lysa boned, who is Sansa's aunt.
Well Cat wasn't exactly the brightest bulb in the lamp but I get your point It wouldn't surprise me if he lied about it but it would be kinda cool if he told the truth. Just to add to the whatthefuckery xD
MAJOR SPOILERS FOR ANYONE WHO HAVEN'T READ THE BOOKS!!
You are probably right xD but in a way it would give some interesting depth to her character if she "spoiled herself" before Eddy got to her xD Eddy turned out to have some double standards with the whole "killing babies to crown Robert"-thing aswell. : D
Somehow it amuses me everytime Martin reveals some details about the Starks that makes them far less honorable than first anticipated but again: you are probably right xD Littlefinger is a weird character. Both him and Varys. It is kinda terrifying how many schemes they have hatched all around. They are the ones controlling everything that happens and everyone else are just puppets in their eyes xD
Yeah I like exploring the whole 'Family, Duty, Honor' thing with Cat. I heard one theory or something somewhere they explored her relationship with Ned's older brother before his death. Like maybe she was in love with him or close to it but when he died she still went and married Ned like her family wished. Yeah Ned didn't like it, and he wouldn't be a part of it himself, but he still understood the reasons behind it and I wonder how hard he would've tried to stop Ser Gregor if he was there in the nursery? And there's plenty of theories that say he did have an affair with (Ashara?) Dayne even if she's not Jon's mother.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT VARYS ACTUALLY WANTS OR WHAT HIS TRUE AIM IS. I mean he professes to want to save children and keep the realm in peace but I'm sure he was doing things encouraging the war. Of course it seems now like he was doing it to place a Targaryen on the throne so he might think it's a justified version of "they suffer now so the children of the future won't" but he just confuses meeeeeeeee.
I LOVE Petyr as a character, he's so interesting and well rounded (they're all really well thought out though) and I love learning about his schemes. As a person, I'd probably dislike him immensely but whenever he appears in the books I love it
First of all: sorry for being so late with a reply Dx
I think that's true the part about Cat's marriage. Yeah I've done a bit of reasearch since my last reply so I can see now that maybe Ned aren't as big a hypocrite as I thought. Maybe he was just so wrapped up in his own little honor-fantasy-world that he couldn't bring himself to see what kind of person Robert was before he became Hand. That just make him blind and naiive, but we all knew that from the start xD I think there could be something true about the theory that Jon and Dany are Ashara's children even though I have a hard time putting Ashara at Dany's birth because she was supposed to be long dead at that time O_o ...
I'm pretty sure Varys just want to serve the Realm. If you think about it he is not loyal to any of the houses at any time but his actions always seems to be for the sake of the Realm. He back-stabbed Areys with words to cast him from the throne and now he is trying to do the same with the Lannisters because their goal is to seize power and control, not to serve the Realm. That's what I love about Varys. He wants the unworthy families to fight each other so they are blind to his plan. Just fucking brilliant!
Me too xD There are alot of characters in the books I would completely despise in the real world but in the story they are just awesome. I have a soft spot for the assholes in the series/books. The good guys don't speak quite as much to me even though I like them. The baddies are just so much more fun xD
